Astrazeneca Vaccine Side Effects

Study Reveals Extent of Covid Vaccine Side-Effects

Most Common Side-Effects Include Mild-to-Moderate Reactions

Thrombosis Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS) is a Rare but Serious Side-Effect of AstraZeneca Vaccine

According to the latest safety profile within the product information for various Covid-19 vaccines, the most common side-effects include mild-to-moderate reactions such as discomfort at the injection site, feeling generally unwell, tired, feverish, headache, feeling sick, or having joint pain.

However, a very rare adverse event called Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS) has been associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine. TTS involves unusual and severe blood clotting events, and has been reported in a small number of cases.

The study, published in the journal Nature Medicine, analyzed data from over 23,000 people who received different Covid-19 vaccines, including the AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, and Moderna vaccines.

The study found that the most common side-effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine were injection site pain, fatigue, headache, and muscle pain.

The study also found that the risk of TTS was higher in people who received the AstraZeneca vaccine than in people who received the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines.
