Chargers Head Coach

Chargers Clean House, Harbaugh Returns

Staley and Telesco Out After Blowout Loss

Harbaugh Inked to Five-Year Deal

Following a tumultuous season that culminated in a humiliating defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders, the Los Angeles Chargers have made sweeping changes to their organization. After meeting with team executives the day after the game, head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco were relieved of their duties.

The Chargers have wasted no time in finding Staley's replacement, announcing that former quarterback and NFL coach Jim Harbaugh has agreed to a five-year contract. Harbaugh, who led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2012, returns to the Chargers after spending the past seven seasons as head coach at the University of Michigan.

The Chargers' decision to move on from Staley and Telesco suggests that ownership is demanding a change in direction after a disappointing 2022 campaign. The team finished the season with a 6-11 record, their worst result since 2017. The Chargers also allowed 63 points to the Raiders in their final game, a franchise record for most points allowed in a single contest.

With Harbaugh at the helm, the Chargers will hope to return to their winning ways and make a run at the playoffs in the upcoming season.
